Automatic Closed Circuit Extractor PAVELAB50

This device is used for bitumen percentage determinations in asphalt mixtures, mixture samples for specification acceptance, service evaluation, control, and research. The representative bitumen sample can be used to perform other tests, such as penetration, softening point, etc. Aggregates, including fines, are also separated and remain available for sample classification.

Main features

  • Washing of the asphalt sample (up to 3.5 kg) with solvent and ultrasonic motion, with simultaneous heating and rotation of the drum lined with sieving mesh.
  • High-speed extraction centrifuge for separation of fines from the bitumen solution.
  • Condensation of solvent vapor in a stainless steel tank including cooling coil.
  • Automatic solvent recovery by a continuous distillation process.
  • Easy recovery of bitumen for additional tests, such as penetration, softening point, etc.
  • Quick connection for rotating evaporator bottle available as option
  • Extraction time reduced to approximately 55 minutes (including drying)
  • No toxic gases in the lab, in compliance with the latest anti-pollution requirements.
  • Rotating panel with 7″ touch screen Version incorporating a scale for accurate asphalt sample measurement (10 Kg ± 0.1 g) also available.
  • High extraction capacity: up to 300 g filter for each extraction
