Pressure aging system (PAV)was developed to simulate aging in service of asphalt binder after 5 to 10 years. The binder is exposed to high pressure and temperature for 20 or 65 hours (selectable up to 99) to simulate the effect of long-term oxidative aging.Main features
Internal platinum RTD temperature measurement to ± 0.1°C.
Freely selectable test temperatures from 80°C to 120°C, PID controlled to ± 0.5°C.
Pressure monitored by transducer and controlled to 2.1 ± 0.1 MPa.
Digital touch screen for real-time display of temperature, vacuum, set points and actual values.
The test time can be set to 99 hours.
Efficient heating system, allowing to reach the test temperature in one hour, higher than those specified in the standard.
When connected to a network, there is the possibility to read the VAP screen remotely from a Smartphone, Tablet or other PC. –
