All molds are made of steel, protected against corrosion. They are specially made for use with the automatic compactor, see Marshall automatic compactors.
The three parts of the compaction molds can be purchased individually. See spare parts.
In accordance with ASTM D6926 (ex D1559), compaction can also be done manually. See manual compaction.
