The rebound value determined by this method can be used to assess the uniformity of concrete in situ, to delineate zones or areas of poor quality or deterioration of concrete in structures.
This non-destructive testing method is not intended as an alternative for determining the compressive strength of concrete, but with appropriate correlations already saved in the instrument, it provides an estimate of the compressive strength in situ.
