HO Hardness tester

UCI Premium Hardness Tester for Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers
Application: This hardness tester is ideal for mobile hardness testing where fast and accurate results are highly valued.
The SAUTER HO measures by means of a vibration rod that vibrates with an ultrasonic frequency and is pressed onto the test piece as a defined test force. At the lower end is a Vickers penetration body. Its resonance frequency rises as soon as it is placed in pressure generation in contact with the evidence. The thus formed resonance frequency shift is assigned by adjusting the corresponding Vickers hardness
Examples: The hardness test system with HO ultrasound is mainly used for the measurement of small forgings, castings, welding points, stamped parts, cast tools, bearings and sprocket flanks, as well as for measurement after the influence of heat or high temperatures
Advantages over Rockwell and Brinell: Destruction-free testing through lower test force and therefore only small microscopic penetration crater
Advantages over Vickers: No demanding optical measurement. Therefore it can be measured directly on site on an assembled manufacturing part
Advantages over Leeb: The high demand placed on the test object’s self-weight is largely unnecessary
Standards: This device meets these technical standards: DIN 50159-1-2008; ASTMA1038- 2005; JB/T9377-2013
Measurement data memory ensures up to 1000 measuring value groups with 20 individual values
Mini-statistics function: Display of the measurement result, the number of measurements, the maximum and minimum value, as well as the mean value and the standard deviation
The device can be configured for both standard hardness comparison plates and up to 20 calibration reference values. This enables rapid measurement of different materials without having to readjust the instrument for each material individually
Delivery contents: Display unit, unit with UCI sensor, carrying case, software for transmitting stored data to PC, accessories
